reggie bush is a great player and has potential but he has a ways to go. His pure athletic ability is amazing.

One good game vs the entire previous season when it took forever for him to just get his first TD (which if I remember right wasn't even from scrimmage) and just a couple more TDs in the span after that. Overall, he hasn't lived up to the high expectations.
Plus, take a look at the opponent- SF, that's not a really stellar achievement.
He's gonna have to put together more games where he scores on a consistent basis, and against good defenses before I'll rate him as a "beast". He's got a long ways to go before he's on the level of LT, Shaun, or LJ, that's for sure.

Alot of people think Reggie was drafted to play solely as a RB. The Saints had planned on using him exactly as they do. Thats why Deuce is still there. Actually i think it will be the new trend in football. He will never be the next LT though.
Now for those saying its just one game. You might want to look at his numbers. He has almost 1100 all purpose yards this season. They werent all gained on the niners. He is a very good player and I am glad he is a Saint.

If Reggie Bush is a beast because of one game, then LaDainian Tomlinson is the NFL's version of God himself! When Reggie Bush can do what Super-LT does regularly, then we can start toting the praises of Reggie. Until then, he needs to keep playing the #2 (should have been #1) overall draft pick.

Against San Fran. I coulda ran in a few on San Fran. As soon as he does it against good teams I will be impressed. I love how no one talks about him all year when he sucked. Now he has ONE good game and the Reggie band wagon is back. Give me a break. This kid has been a big disapointment overall.

if he does this every once and a while, and steps up his lowest #s, then he will definitely be a beast, but he's got a way to go
he needs to gain a few pounds if he can do so w/o loosing too much speed, that way he can punch it up the middle easier ---seriously, 200lbs? Even Tiki's 205.

A beast? He did that against the worst defense in the league. I'm a 9'ers fan so I don't like saying that. He might be pretty good in time, but right now, that's his only good game.
