I currently have a position working as a nanny, but the family doesn't treat me very well. Next week I am going to start going on interviews to see if I can get another job with another family. When I go on interviews with new families how do I tell them my current situation (i'm working with a family who doesn't treat me well) without sounding rude or snobby?? Please help!

No you do not give information like that. First, you never know when those you are interviewing with are "spying" for the original family. Second, in business, you NEVER bad mouth the competition - which in this case the competition to the client is the former client. When you talk poorly about them, it tells them that you might talk poorly about them, should things not work.

Some reasons you might give could include - its too far from home, looking to "change my situation", I prefer to work with the (age range) group, etc. You might even say something like - "I always like to have a close relationship with the host family and the relationship with my former client was always a very distant one that was strictly client/ boss situation. I find it more benefitial for the children and the comfort for the family if my personality and the family's personality blends well and grows in a friendly way."

Just be your self and honest with everyone. Your not happy with your situation so you need a change. Don't do something unless your happy. You don't want to go to work miserable every single day.
