Does it then follow that investment in or expansion of some of the water purification systems would be worth while? I would welcome any thoughts. Here in the US there are a number of nonchemical water purification systems that are commercially available.

worthwile in economic sense, but not like anybody can make money on it. the benefits of better water are healthier people, and there's no way you'll get them to pay for that.

FIRST OF ALL THERE IS NO SHORTAGE OF DRINKING WATER. BUT INDIA IS DIVIDED IN MANY STATES AND THE STATES CREATING THE DISPUTE FOR WATER TO OTHERS STATES. THEY USE THAT WATER FOR AGRICULTURE BUT NOT READY TO GIVE THE NEIGHBOUR'S STATE FOR DRINKING.
