When receiving a gift?

Yes.....no thought is horrible.....my estranged uncle got me a card for my 14th birthday...........it was for a 7 year old, said:
"Awesome! your 14 now! your cool dude!"
It was hillarious, i can tell he didnt even care what he chose!

I agree...as long as get a gift!
It also depends on whose giving the gift. If it is someone that I am close to, then they need to make an effort.
For instance, if my boyfriend got me a card for my birthday or Christmas..I would be upset....but if a co-worker gave me a card, I would say thank you... that would be enough...because they thought of me.

YES YES YES!!!!! without a doubt yes. after all wat if some1 doesnt have a lot of money but makes u something cheesy? think abut it this way. some1 cared so much about u that they went to the trouble to get or make u something at all. like rite now i dont have a lot of money (my dads been out of work on injury) and im planning to get something for all my friends! if they dont want it becuz its cheezy hopefully they'll realize that they're my friend and i care about them even tho i cant show them that with MATIREAL OBJECTS. its always the thought that counts!!!!!!!!!! :D MERRY EARLY CHRISTMAS EVERY1!!!!!!!!

yes!! totally. it means that they took time, even if the gift is crappy, to look for something for you. It really is the thought that counts!!

Yes it is. But most gifts are thoughtless. That is, if it's coming from you mother in law! From your kids and loved ones, it's cool.

For me it honestly is. I would be so happy if you gave me a stick of gum for christmas. Or even a hug would suffice. At least I was thought of!
