Those white lines that are made in the sky by airplanes? Anyone know what they are called? This may sound stupid but i was just wondering.

FYI, contrail is short for condensation trail.

con-trails.
They are made of water vapor, not exactly sure how it forms.
Probably the humidity in engine exhaust mixing with cold air.
