I know, doesn't it make you mad!! I was pissed to see that Grey's was a rerun!! Hello, you only make 6-12 episodes per season, do we really need all of the reruns??

Shows only produce approximately 22 episodes in a usual full season. There are 52 weeks in a year. Therefore, there are going to be reruns. December is just after the November sweeps month and it's a month when many people (who are more casual TV watchers) are too busy to watch TV, so networks will tend not to schedule new episodes since they will not be watched by as many people as the network would like.

Broadcasters believe that December is a time where viewers are busy doing other things that will take away from them watching shows, so it's easier to air reruns that doesn't matter if people miss.

Most shows go into reruns until after Christmas. The reason, I've got no clue.

It's December. Traditionally most shows are mostly re runs this month because of holiday specials, people shopping and partying and doing kid's concerts and stuff. I don't know if it will be the whole month or not. Hope not!
