theres only five olympic rings 'cause Together, they represent the five inhabited continents, although no particular ring is meant to represent any specific continent. (The Americas are treated as one continent.) The rings are interlaced to represent the idea that the Olympics are universal, bringing athletes from the entire world together.

The Olympic flag places the Olympic rings on a white background. As every national flag in the world contains at least one of the flag's six colors (black, blue, green, red, yellow, white), this further symbolizes the universality of the Olympics.

On factmonster.com it says "The five interlocking rings of the Olympic flag symbolize the five continents of the world (Africa, Asia, Australia, Europe, and the Americas) "linked together in friendship." Olympics founder Pierre de Coubertin claimed that at least one of the rings' colors (blue, yellow, black, green, and red, along with the white background) was present in each country's national flag." I'm guessing both North and South America are represented by one color and Antartica isn't represented because no people compete from their in the Olympics.

The 7 continents include Africa, Asia, North America, South America, Austrialia, Europe and Antartica.

although there there is a divide between north an south America geologically it remains America. i.e. only really one continent.

the other, Antartica has no permanat human inhabitants i.e. theres not likely to be any human 100 metre sprinters coming from the deep south!

There are five continents who have teams which compete in the olympics therefore there are only five rings. The rings represent unity and fair play between all teams, also equalness.

The five continents are Africa, Asia, Australia, Europe, and the Americas (North, South & Central). Antarctica is uninhabited, therefore it is not represented.

because the designer of the logo said that they represented europe, africa, asia, australia, and the americas. thus, north and south america are one ring, and since antarctica doesn't have any countries to compete in the olympics, it wouldn't make much sense to include a ring for them

Love to see Antarctica represented in the Olympics, only they won't as they are not a sovereign country.

Next time polar bears will be taking part in the wrestling, and penguins in the swimming. Looks like a couple of golds.

LISTEN TO ME

the olympic ring symbol was designed and used by hitler during the 1936 summer olympics in Berlin, Germany. During these olympics that ring symbol, the olympic song, and the man running in and lighting a toarch was all made and used by hitler. He wanted people to see Germany as a perfect nation, and for that time all jewish hate propaganda was hidden.
FYI, the "best event", the 100 m sprint in track, was won by a black jewish man, which made hitler very angry because he thought it made the German people look inferior

We have been using thoses things in the Olympics since, and very few people know that Hitler brought it up. In fact, he made many things we use today: car companys, rockets, space shuttle designs.... kinda makes you think.
After that, we all know what happened
