Why do people feel the need to find consolation for their petty problems on internet Blogs?

Our modern society lacks a sense of community that Blogs provide. Our cities are full of people who don't even know each other. We get into our cars, drive to work, get behind a desk, converse with coworkers and clients (on a professional basis only), then go home to do it all over again. Many people are missing someone they can truly confide in.

If the problem is petty - then I believe they are more than likely just seeking attention. If the problem is more significant, they may not have any friends or family to turn to and blogs may be their only outlet for human interaction.

Because when I worked for a Youth group, there wer parents who just don't give a crap about their kids, nor did the teenager feel they could talk to their parents. There is a lot of teens that now have families where their are step parents, or they come from broken homes or single parent homes. And petiphiles take advantage of these situations to get what they want.

Interesting question. I do know that due to the changes in society of the past half century, people are generally more isolated... especially in the Western world. It could be that more people have less friends around them at any given moment to bounce their ideas off of.

Some people are alone. No family. No parents. NO friends. No one. We need to talk somewhere. I'm sorry if you find that petty.

Sometimes people have nobody to talk to about it in real life and need an outlet of any kind. They kind of trick their brain into thinking someone is listening.
