What can you put on an acting resume if your just a beginner and don't really have any experience? I look at several resumes and they have at least a commercial or playe an extra in something. I'm just beginning my first acting class and I want to get good headshots done with some kind of resume on the back.

With no real offense, keep your expectations modest for now, Gee first acting class and already looking for work in the craft,,,, you are brave.

You are astute however in that you notice EXPERIENCE helps.

Certainly there are studios that focus on head shots, and the quality is pretty usual. Black and White, decent, but subtle smile, hair, makeup, etc. DO NOT consider the resume and head shot as a one piece resume!

A restpectful, humble cover letter introducing yourself, with any educational credits you have up to now will have to do. Without question you WILL need to start pounding the pavement for auditions, and commercials, bit part/extras is a good place to begin.

One more piece of advice. Do Not take any rejections as personal attacks. They can become your best teaching aid, and pink slips can become "trophies"

Just say that you are taking classes and working on everything else. A good picture will help as well.
