how far into the game until i get this damn bike.lol

In the orignal Pokemon red, jsut head to the Fan Club in Vermillion City and after hearing the president talk about his Rapidash he'll give you a bike voucher. Head back to the bike shop in Cerulean City and the owner will give you a bike in exchange for the voucher.
