does this happen to other people,is it common? also what can I do about it?

Because the water gets up in your sinuses and causes what feels like a sinus headache. This is why I use nose plugs when I swim.

it happens because there is chlorine in the water so it will sting a little and a there bit of imbalance in the nasel passage when water goes up yiour noes. it is very common and to prevent it blow air through you nose.

Maybe it is the chlorine in your sinus cavity.

sounds like you are sensitive to the chlorine. not surprising as you are getting Bleach up your nose AntiHistamines might help

theres chlorine in the water and it happens to me sometimes
