The quadratic formula is [-b +/- sq.rt(b^2 - 4ac)] / 2a

Here, a=5, b=23, c=-10.

[-23 +/- sq.rt(23^2 - 4*5*-10)] / 2*5
[-23 +/- sq.rt(529 - -200)] / 10
[-23 +/- sq.rt(729)] / 10
[-23 +/- 27] / 10

[-23 + 27] / 10 = 4 / 10 = 2/5
[-23 - 27] / 10 = -50 / 10 = -5

Your two answers are 2/5 and -5.
