I wish I could be an angel for you. The positive things are - you are young, hardworking, and a loving Mom who deeply cares about her son. I know its important to you to have something for him for christmas, but he probably isn't even aware yet that there is such a holiday. With that said, he isn't expecting anything, which will make it easier on you. Childrens toys are relatively inexpensive at several stores for kids his age. Alot of churches, schools, and other organizations are usually looking for a family to help. If it were Me, I would much rather help you, a hardworking Mother who only wants a little something for her child. As for the rest of your family, if you really feel the need to get them a gift there are a few things that you can do. You don't have to spend money on them, as I am sure they understand your situation. Maybe if its your Mom and Dad you want a gift for, make them a christmas card, and let the gift be that you will cook dinner for them, or maybe clean out the garage for them, do something for them, to help them. If its brothers or sisters, maybe you could do the same kind of thing for them. There are things that you can do that won't cost money. Giving of yourself, and your time, is such a rewarding gift to give, and to receive. I am sorry that someone got on here and was critical of your spelling, that was pretty shallow on their part. You don't owe anyone any explanation on here. You came on here, asked a question, sincerely, and you did not deserve to be so rudely treated. Some people just have nothing better to do with their time. You keep up the good work raising your son, stay strong.

In the town where I live, the local Christian radio station does something called an Angel Tree. Companies all around town particpate as well. The child and parent go to the tree and fill out a card stating the child's age and what they want for Christmas. Then, when people in the community are out and about (or they go directly to the radio station), they can grab a tag off the Angel Tree and buy the item for that child. Churches, radio stations and other religious organization all have things like this. I hope that you can find one around your town! Good luck!

well...I dont think anyone is going to send you stuff over the internet. you could try community care or something in your area that chould help you make sure you have the things you need. I'm sure family would understand if you cant get them gifts and if they dont then they arent much of a family (i dont mean that in a bad way) as for your son, being that young he wont remember anyways. if you an get him a small toy for a child his age. if not then keep up what you are doing and try to provide a better holiday next year. is it not possible your bf could work? maybe take a small job for some extra cash? if not then like i said, try churches or anything in your area with cheritable donations. even if you could get some food and clothing for your son, that would give you some extra money you would normally spent on that stuff to get him a gift or something. if you lived in my area I would try and help you. unfortunately I cant do anythign for you over the internet. try and have a merry christmas though.

find a freecycle group in your area ~ many people are giving away nice things; contact the salvation army, your local church, headstart has programs available as well.
For a 2 year old, it doens't take a whole lot to make them smile and have a great holiday. Be creative - I'm sure have enough at home to make him giggle. My cousin just turned two and he loves the party "noise makers' from the dollar store =)

If you are that much in need, your family wouldn't expect gifts from you. Make something with your own two hands...with your son, perhaps. Be creative, not down trodden--just think that the North Star would have been missed had everyone been looking down all the time.
God Bless you...be patient...keep working hard and you will be rewarded

Go to your local social services office. There are usually lots of programs for underprivileged kids to help them have a good holiday. They will be able to point you in the right direction!

Save up with selling little crafts for Christmas or you can just create a little craft and give it to him.
