You need to get x by itself. Since the x is being squared, but the coefficient of 2 isn't, get rid of the 2 first. Because a coefficient of 2 means that x^2 is being multiplied by 2, you need to divide by 2 to get rid of it. Be sure to divide both sides!

2x^2 = 20.
x^2 = 10.

Now x is just being squared, so you need to square root each side, because that is the opposite operation of being squared.

x^2 = 10.
x = sq.rt(10)

Just plug that in your calculator.

x= √10
