A red (like Chanel's Rouge Allure) would be very pretty. The berry-stained lips of this season are pretty too, but they're a little dramatic. A reddish-purple (Clinique has a couple of these) shade would be complimentary. Someone else posted blue-based lipsticks are a good bet; I agree. Browns are too drab. A light pink is good for nearly every occasion. Covergirl's new lipstick/gloss duo comes in handy too and keeps you from looking too matte.

For pale skin I would use a clear shiny gloss or a light pink. I also am very pale with dark hair and dark colors look too bright on my and wash out my face. Stick with lighter colors

Hmm..I too have dark eyes and black hair, although I'm not very light complected. You could wear a red lipstick, in fact everyone can. It's all in what shade you use, etc. Look for a blue-based (not brown based brick or burgundy) lipstick. Still too much for you? Apply a clear or lightly tinted lipgloss over it to soften the color. (Matte lips tend to look more intense) I have seen clear glosses with tiny gold sparkles in them that would look beautiful over the red and be perfect for the holidays.

you should try bare minerals or bare escentuals. it is the best make-up for fair skinned women. they have a line of lip gloss for
fair skinned women.....try pale pink or if you do not like that then go for the red....good luck!!!!!
