Above is a website to report frauds against the government, which yours would qualify as since it's gov't funded. You might also look at the US Dept of Justice website for assistance with corporate fraud.

Next in line is your State dept of Labor or Wage & Hour division. another idea- try this lawyer website & post a free question to their attorneys. They answer you by email. It's www.lawguru.com.

I understand you've got to get paid. answers like just get another job do NOTHING about the $$ you're owed. You can do more as an "insider" to real this scammer than you can as an ex-employee.

Whistle blowers may not be popular with folks but SOMEONE has to stick their neck out & stop fraud or they'll just get bigger & add NEW victims. How did America become a place where CRIME is nobody's business???

You hear your neighbor beating up his wife & you turn up your tv? You see a guy stealing laptops from his employer & you wonder if he'll take $50 for one?

I don't understand some people.

Talk to the District Attorney in your area (make sure you have everything documented) about your and fellow employees' situation. If their is sufficient evidence, your boss will be facing criminal charges.

Report him to the better business bureau.

Make an anonymous call to a newspaper. This will help get the clients involved.

When an employer does not pay their workers, it is called slavery, and it is illegal.

If you are not on the company's list of paid employees, then you are a subcontractor, and not really an employee, in which event which the best you can due is sue him in civil court. If that is the case, remember that you can sue 'jointly & sevarlly' which means you are suing him, suing the company, and suing him & the company.

Report him to Labor and Industries. He is required by federal law to pay you on the day specified as pay day or by your contract. You can call L&I and make an annonymous complaint. You can also go the L&I webpage and do a complaint online.

You can also apply for unemployment benefits. Go to your local unemployment office and tell them the situation. If your income is less than it has been and you have been working at this job for longer than six months, you are eligible for benefits. When you apply your application will be investigated by employment security and your boss and the organization will be exposed that way as well.

Or you can quit and still apply for unemployment benefits. It is a legitimate reason to quit if you are not being paid by your employer.

As for scamming his clients, clearly he is a shady character. Perhaps you should report your suspicions to the police? I would. I would say that the word "shady" is mild. Sounds to me like his behavior can better be defined as "criminal."

If I were you I would just quit, apply for unemployment, and look for another job.

Good Luck! I hope things turn out well for you and your friend.

Don't threaten, actually report hiim to the better business bureau and then quit. You already know he's a fraud. Why are you still working for a man who owes you thousands of dollars? Think.

First, whistle blowers never end up as heroes. Drop a note to the IRS asking them to investigate/audit his files. Give them a little info on what to look for and find another job.
OR
Get an attorney (and find another job)
