The director - whatisname - insists it was not meant to be Wallace's soul. But others have made a some interesting points that it may very well have been.

Well the band-aid was put there to hide either a bad scar or not so pretty birthmark. As for the suit case, is a mystery, it is either
Marsalles Wallaces soul, or a very beautiful diamond or some other type of gem stone.

I don't KNOW. I don't CARE. I think Pulp Fiction is the BEST MOVIE EVER. It would be a let-down to find out either thing! I only own 3 movies, Titanic, Pretty Woman, & PULP FICTION. I can recite it almost word for word!!!
