I agree check out http://kokosgoldfish.com/

I first found out about making gel food over there but I make my own recipes, it's pretty easy once you get the basics of have much gelatin you need for however much other food you add and that should be on the package of gelatin. The last time I made it used pea baby food, carrot baby food, broccoli, a can of tuna, a handful of turtle pellets, some beet leafs, a little garlic, a little paprika and a couple other things, so you see you can add almost anything but try to stick to healthy foods with lots of vitamins. After you have everything mixed up and liquidy (may need to add water, I used the tuna juice from the can) make the gelatin like the package says and mix everything together, if you mix in a blender the gel food will float because it is full of air, if you mix with your hand it should sink, then pour into a container, I used a bread loaf pan lined with saran wrap and put in the refrigerator to set up. Once set up I cut into little squares and keep some out to feed for the next couple days and freeze the rest, if you don't freeze it will go bad and if precut it is very easy to get out what you need without having to cut it while it is frozen.

My fish has the same thing. Don't worry! It is a swim bladder problem. Here is a remedy:
1 package flavorless gelatin
1 jar of baby food peas

stir them together
microwave 1 minute spread on foil thin and freeze till frozen. Tear into pieces And feed regularly.

It works It takes a day or two but it works!! After he is better feed him sinking pellets instead of flakes! It will prevent it from happening!

go to kokosgoldfish.com become a member (free). go into their forums (located off of main page down towards the bottom on the left hand side of page). There is a forum there admist all the other ones on food. You can add anything edible to gell food, which will be even more healthy than canned baby food since it has all of those preservatives in it. Personally, I have never made gel food but have read about it there. good luck
