If you have played Tomb Raider:Angel of Darkness, how do you get the obscura painting from the ghost?

In the Hall of Seasons there is a ghost whom you must get an obscura painting from. I've had a hard time doing it. If anybody can find an easy way please help.

There is a torch in a side-room pick it up and when the ghost comes towards you throw it at it then pick the painting up.
