My stereo is like 8 years old and doesn't have the MP3 Jack like the new ones do. Is there a cord that I can buy and hook it up to the RCA Jack inputs in the back?

Yes. This is a common adapter cable sold in Wal Mart, Staples, Radio Shack, etc. I think I saw one in Wahlgreen Drug Store. They come in varous lengths and cost less than $5. Your mp3 player has a 3.5 mm stereo socket. The adapter cable needs a 3.5 mm male stereo plug on one end and male RCA plugs on the other.

Couple different ways you can connect your mp3 to your stereo, first of all if you have rca jacks( usually red and white jacks) in the back of the stereo all you need to do is get a mini plug to rca cable from radio shack and you are good to go.Second way is to get yourself a FM transmitter from radioshack or bestbuy and transmit the mp3 to your stereo via the fm band, this will only work if your stereo has fm radio .The fm transmitter works great even in your car stereo or any radio that has fm built in, the transmitter ranges anywhere from $15 to $39 !
