if you broke your tv with the wii-mote it was for one of these reasons:
1. you weren't using the strap.
2. you were using the strap but had been playing for SO LONG that your hands became incredibly sweaty hence the wii-mote went flying.
either way. you're a loser. how can something so simple in design cause so much confusion?

What problem???
Even without the wrist strap people should just hang onto the remote!! It's their own fault if it breaks something, not Nintendo's.

I think the strap is fine if you just hold on the the wiimote and put on the strap. I mean if its between breaking your tv and putting on a wrist strap, just put it on.
