I want to prosecute the guy who raped me but I want to make sure it was rape. What usually happens during gang rape??
I want to see if what happened to me is truly classified as rape.

did he have sex with you and you was unwilling? if he forced you to have sex than it's rape. gang rape is i think like when a guy rapes you and then another one of his friends rape you and so on.
if you think it was raped, you should of went to the hospital so the nurse could do a rape kit on you

Gang rape is when 2 or more people are assulting a person. Do you mean Date rape? I would think that you would know if it was rape or not. Did you tell him no and he still forced himself on you....that is rape. If you had sex and then afterwards decided that you didn't want to do it that is not rape.

Unless you reported the incident within 72 hours of the assault and had a rape kit done, pretty much all chances of you prosecuting this guy are gone, unless he admits to it. Rape means that he would force himself upon you without your consent, or if you're drugged/drunk, or underage. If you said no, and he still did it (no matter if you fought or not), then it's rape. If you're underage, it's statuatory. If you were drugged or drunk and he forced himself upon you, it's rape.

if u did not consent to sex with the person, then it is rape, now if you thought they were someone else and allowed it at the time, it is not
