Nope. Sorry it isn't at all likely to happen. The height for a model is 5'7" or above. It has to do with how the clothing fits. They wear heels as well. You just aren't likely at all to become a runway model no matter how cute or skinny you are.

You definitely have a shot at becoming a model, but not a runway model. Sorry. I'm not trying to sound negative. I just know that they don't even consider anyone under about 5'8". I think that's even short for the runway.
Don't get down, though. Look at it this way... you're too tall to be a gymnast! :)

I think they prefer tall chicks, but there has been big changes in the industry. For instance, some shows this year in Europe have demanded models who are not too thin, I think they even measured body fat ratio. Perhaps the industry is changing. However, when you come down to the height thing - you are on stage and the designer wants everyone watching to really see the clothes. That is way more difficult to achieve with a short model.

For runway modeling more than likely not. Pretty much all modeling agencies looking for runway models have a height requirement of 5'7 or above. There are other types of non-runway modeling that don't have this requirement though that you could look in to.

I'm not sure if they would let you be a runway model but in my personal opinion it shouldn't really matter. I say you should go for it if your thinking about it no matter what obstacles may try to prevent you. However, your going to have to look really hard because modeling in general is alot of competition even if you do meet the 5'7 requirement.

uk fashions are often a 6 or an 8. Measurements will selection consistent with build yet hips bigger than 34 may well be considered fairly massive. businesses start to nurture youthful fashions from an extremely youthful age (14 or 15) and as quickly as you're over 21 or 22 you have become previous. fashions could be in proportion and a minimum of five'8 yet around 5'10 is sweet. maximum fashions installation that standards won't have a healthful BMI.

Most definitly you can be, some companies like variety to advertise thier stuff, and you don't have to be a "runway" model, even tv commercials for clothes, or magazines for the fasion ads, etc. best thing to do is search any company you can think of, cosmo, glamour, ANYTHING, check out thier websites, look for maybe a "job opportunities" page, phone numbers, mail addresses, get some photos of yourself lookin good, not flashy, but good....and if they want a resume or schooling, work on it, and modeling schools should refer you to places also, if its what you really want put forth efforts and see what happens, if it doesnt work out explore other areas of interest.

no.. bein 5'5 is cosidered short for a model and not very many disigner would allow a short model in their show because they made the clothes for a tall person and would want to go through all the stress of extra alterations. but, you could be a commerical model

The reason this couldnt work is because EVERYONE is in heels.
so the 5'11 girls in 5 inch heeels will be 6'4, but even in 8 inch heels, you'll only be 5'11.
however, you could be a print model or a junior model.

Models are generally taller yes, but not all models are tall.
There are problems with being short, becuase you look bigger, and there was a short model who recently died from anorexia trying to compensate for her height.
So be careful!
