ok there is a creek on my friends property and it starting to be winter here....my friend want to have fish in the creek but shes not sure if they will survive. the water in the creek is all from rain and that water is about a foot deep...could we put fish in it?and some of the water flows off a side of the creek in to another part of the creek,so we can have really small fish because they will just go down the small hill into the next part of the creek...so pretty much my question is will fish from like a petstore be able to live in there?

No, sorry. You can't put captive fish into a flowing creek.

Also, a creek is probably shallow enough that it would freeze solid in winter.

Look into getting a goldfish pond :)

NO.

Fish from petstores are tropical fish, and need a minimum temperature of 72 degrees farenheit- which your creek will definitely not be. You could try contacting a fish and game department in your area and see if they can stock the creek with native fish for you. But nothing you buy at any store will survive outdoors in the winter.

Please dont even attempt this. You are just introduceing a non native species into the creek which could cause an unbalance in the water. If you want fish in the creek then try going fishing and get some blue gill or sunfish or go to another creek and get "chubs"

Coldwater fish might be able to surive but I doubt they'll manage to be dupmped now in the winter, plus you can't just dump foreign species into a river you could damage the ecosystem and the foreign fish could out compete the native fish and cause a huge problem. Don't do it!

Unless there arent any plant in it that it could affect or they cant go in to other bodys of water(is this creek just in your friends backyard? and no1 elses)
Goldfish may survive(or koi)

uh. dont do it.

The creek will more than likely freeze.

You would be introducing a non-native species.

That could cause a ferral population that is invasive and harmful for the local environment.

Its also illegal.
