America is not divided. That's just what the media is telling you.
I'm on my own side.
We've survived civil wars, bombings, and our own paranoia . . . I'm pretty sure we'll be OK.
EDIT:
I don't think it's "pretty clear" that we are divided by two political parties. There is more to life than that. Plus, most people don't fully agree with the platform of their political party.
Furthermore, not everyone is Republican or Democrat. There are more choices than just those two. In fact, I just re-registered. I changed my party from Democrat to Independent because I was tired of my party constantly making making Republicans out to be "evil." My boyfriend, a lifelong Republican, did the same thing for the same reason.
This country is not one or the other. Therefore, it is not divided.

The side of the decent honorable person that tries to do the right thing for the country AND the world. Sometimes that makes me a "liberal", sometimes a "conservative", and sometimes neither. Let others put labels on things and play politics. I support what I think is right and speak out against what I think is wrong.
America is no more "divided" than a lot of other times in our history. We all want the same things for our country, though we disagree on how they should be achieved. We have been here for over 200 years. We are not going anywhere.

I believe that we can live with our differences. Life doesn't have to be (and usually isn't) black and white. THink shades of grey. Why do people have to be so much of the mindset that you're either with me or against me? People do not like being pressured so. What if I agree with the conservatives on some issues ands the liberals on others? What then? Which side is that?
