Does anyone else have a baby that is really active during the day?

I'm 21wks pregnant and feel little bumps all the time. Even as i sit here at my desk typing i can feel "bump bump bump". Alot of books i've read and people i've spoken to have said baby isn't as active during the day... but that doesn't seem to hold true with me. I feel movements through out the day and they seem to die down at night.

Has anyone else encountered this? Because of it i initially thought it couldn't be my baby simply because it happened too frequently through out the day... but if its not the baby then i have something majorly wrong with my insides! lol.

My baby also seems to "hang out" low on my left side - thats where baby spends the most time.. why is that? Do they tend to favour one position over any other?

Thanks.

Bump bump bump, if it is steady, sounds like the baby has the hiccups. Mine would get those all the time, drove me nuts!!! Also, it's not that the baby is that active during the day, it's that the baby is usually not that active when you are up and around. Your body movement rocks the baby, usually to sleep. When you are sitting at your desk typing, being still, that is when they wake up. THis is why most of those book say that babies are more active at night (while your still). Nope there is nothing wrong with your insides, lol. Each pregnancy is different. With my firstborn, the quickening (first felt movement) was normal, in the middle of the second trimester. She kept her movement up regularyly after tha, always would keep me up at night kickin me to death, and she ahd the hiccups everyday, somtimes several times a day, very annoying!!! With my second, my son, his movement was late. I wondered if it was ever going to happen! His quickening didn’t come till about the 6th month, but then he never stopped moving after that. With my third, however, her quickening was in the first week of my third month. So early that the doctor rushed me to have a sonogram to make sure I wasn’t farther along than we thought. Nope, she just wanted to make her presence known as soon as possible! She then like to play soccer with my insides, lol. I swear she was pullin on my phsiatic nerve!! LOL, i could feel her kick my organs, she would also do what felt like a full body stretch, that was painful. You wanna see babies really move you should check out my friends tummy! She is a surro mom of twins 39 weeks! Those little babies and go to town now! I've never seen anything like it! I am in the process of writting a pregnancy book, I will be posting parts of it on my blog if you wanna check it out at:(http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fus... In my book I discuss many things that doctors neglect to cover with expectant mothers. Hope some of that info is helpful!)If you wanna know more just about movement of your baby, email me and i can send some more info to you.

My pregnancies were all active during the day and night. Sounds normal to me. Sometimes it feels like the baby is more in one position inside but they move around and change positions constantly. It's really fun nearer the end of your pregnancy when you'll actually be able to look at your belly and see it is lopsided because the baby is in a certain position like it's butt up against your left side. Enjoy. I loved being pregnant. The one thing I missed after birth was the movement.

My first son moved like crazy at 21 weeks inside me, and he too was more during the day... look at it this way, he's probably sleeping at night which is A MAJOR PLUS! YOU GO GIRL! This pregnancy I don't have so much movement during the day that I am nervous. You are fine and nothing is wrong, my son by the way was HUGE, 9 pounds 10 ounces, so you might have a large baby inside you too! Anyway, if the baby is moving that much now, and is bumping away, just wait girl, you're in for it, but I think it was the BEST thing in my pregnancy! It shows you that your baby is fine!

My children were always active in the day when there was noise and vibration going on. Books don't know everything. I felt all 3 of mine at 14 weeks even though the books and my doctor said it couldn't be that. I know what my own child feels like! If baby is active in the day then thats normal for your baby. Perhaps you feel it on one side more because its arms and legs(which you would feel and not the head because it is too round and blunt) are pointing that way and poking you. Remember at this age it has little control over where it moves. moves are involentary.

My baby started moving when she was at 20 weeks. I am not sure if they favor certain positions. Ours was all over the place. She was very active during the day. Especially when I had class and she could hear voices, she would go crazy but at night she was a quiet baby unless her daddy was talking =). I am not sure if they just love the noises once they can hear but my little girl did.

Mine is at the point now where she'll push back against my hand if i put it on her... it's so funny!!!! she hangs out low and to the right... so much so that the dark line on my tummy has gone slightly crooked at the bottom... i look really wierd cuz she'll cause my belly to look lopsided lol....

Oh, wow honey, you do no longer seem pregnant in any respect! it relatively is by way of you being so energetic and healthful. The better your abdomen muscle tissues are, the greater they help and carry the toddler in. The weaker they are, the faster and greater promently you tutor. I as quickly as knew a abdomen dancer, who additionally did ballet, i did no longer comprehend she became into pregnant untill the tip of her 8th month. seem on the bright ingredient, you may get much less stretch marks, and don't could purchase an excellent style of materninty cloths, and could have an much less confusing time dropping your toddler weight!

Your baby just has a unique personality.. ha ha.

He/She likes to play in mommy's tummy during the day instead of night. I started feeling thumps around 20 weeks.. so you're probably feeling your little one. Enjoy it.

I was completly (sp) oposite...I would worry about my son ALL day long, and eventually when I went to sleep, or tried to go to sleep, he would go CRAZY! Moving constantly and such..And he had a couple of favorite places, on my right side right below my boob..he would pop up and sit there for hours and I could lay flat and you could see him like sticking out..it was funny, and he also favored my left side right by my heart, and if I pushed on him to get him to move..he would kick me and kick me until I let him stay there..and I think that's because of my heartbeat..and now everytime he's on my chest he falls right asleep cause of my heartbeat :)
