The latest dietary reference intake report by the United States National Research Council recommended (including food sources): 2.7 litres of water total for women and 3.7 litres for men.[7] Water is lost from the body in urine and feces, through sweating, and by exhalation of water vapor in the breath.
Humans require water that does not contain too many impurities. Common impurities include metal salts and/or harmful bacteria, such as vibrio. Some solutes are acceptable and even desirable for taste enhancement and to provide needed electrolytes.

Water is composed of two of the elements found in "air" : hydrogen and oxygen. The existence of water depends upon the existence of "air", not the other way around....

I agree with the top 2 answerers before me=)
Water is made up out of Oxygen anyway so truly you can't have one without the other.
But truthfully, I'd pick water over air.
Our body mainly consists of water & we need it (water) to function; water is my final answer.

Water cannot exist without air. Especailly true of water since it is made up of oxygen.
A person cannot exist without both. I would subsribe to the theory that I would not want to be without either.

u guyz...unbelievalbe!...its a freakin trick question. they both need each other, an analogy would be ur brain and ur heart . ur brain involuntarily controls ur heart in return the heart supports both ur life and the brain......
