Yes, he was found guilty. I was living in Edmonton at the time of the disappearance of his wife, Leanna. It was suspicious right from the beginning, and many people compared it to the Scott Peterson case. Among many other things, Michael coincidentally 'found' the body of his wife during a search party, and although he proclaimed his innocence, police eventually charged him with killing his wife. It is very sad. This left two children without parents.

It appears that in fact he killed his wife, but as you'd probably know, laws in Canada are quite different than here in the States, sometimes justice is not served as expected, but we must wait and see how law enforcement and the prosecution present the case, it's a shame someone kill his own pregnant wife..☺
