I had no idea that was even possible. I worked in retail for about 5 years while I was in college, and if something was bought at another store in our chain and returned to my store without a receipt we gave them the price as it stood in the store on that day... and if it went from $40 down to $1.99, oh well. Our sales always lasted through the same dates, and our computers told us when to do markdowns so everything was always equal no matter where you shopped or returned your merchandise.

I don't know what store this is, but I'm sure the rest of America would love to know so the rest of us can make a profit too.

I didn't know that you could even do that. I have an extremely hard time trying to return things to the store I bought it from without a receipt. If they do take it back I only get maybe half of what I paid for it.

As tempting as it may be to some, think about the bad karma! So you return something and get $5-10. Whatever you buy with that money is tainted. If you buy food - you'll choke, if you buy lotion - it will give you a rash, etc. I couldn't deal with that...

nope, I never try it. But since the stuff is on clearance at one store, aren't all other store should have clearance too?

No, and others should not do that either. This and shoplifting is why stores raise prices for everyone. Be honest. If you need more money get a 2nd job!

No, that's almost as dumb as buying something, leaving the tags on it, wearing it, then returning it. What ever happened to honesty?
