I heard over a radio news segement that Carrie Underwood said she would never sing at a gay event because its against her religion. I searched online to see if she said this but got no where...so if someone could clear this up that would be great.

P.S. When the radio news announcer said that Carrie Underwood would never sing at a gay event, another DJ said "she did...the who season of American Idol." LOL

AlexMarques: It's her religion, and she didn't actually poke fun at or discriminate against anyone, so what's the issue?

What do you call discriminate? If she would have said "I will not sing a CHRISTIAN event" she would have gotten the whole religious american in a uproar, thats the problem with gay america, we dont let our voice be heard and take things too lightly!

Well, since most of the big gay events are in June that shouldn't be a problem.

She's a reality show mini-star, so by June we'll have all forgotten her name.

she has said this now? I had heard Mandisa said this a while back...read her interview online. I hadn't heard Carrie Underwood said that.

If she said that maybe she want to file for bankruptcy, most of the people that go to concert and support singers are gay. By the way I always wanted Bo to win I can't stand that biotch!!

SO what is your point?

Does she not have the right to do waht she wants? Does she not have the right to speak her mind and say how she feels?

THIS IS AMERICA, HOME OF THE FREE! FREE SPEACH IS WHAT WE ARE ENTITLED TO.

I admire her if in fact she did say that.

I bet if she had a close friend or a sibling that was gay she wouldn't say that. After all, being gay is not a choice. Love is Love.

To me it would not matter because I wouldn't go see her for free. I just don't like her country twang.
