I'm attending my first military ball and I'm in need of an inexpensive dress for the evening...?

Question

I guess it needs to be cocktail length (so semi-long) and not too flashy....any suggestions as to where I can look?

I agree with Ross and Marshalls. Check out Walmart too.

You may also want to check your local Target. They have nice cocktail dresses (from the Isaac line and Merona, I remember) that ranges from 25-50 dollars. The 25 dollar ones are not bad at all. Just get something in pure black because it doesn't look cheap at all, and if you could, get something that is cinched or ties at the waist because inexpensive clothing could hang loosely, and that isn't pretty.

I personally wore a 25 dollar Merona flutter sleeve dress from Target a few months back for a friend's event held at the Biltmore. It didn't look shabby at all. Just wear the right accessories with it (shoes, clutch, and jewelry). Hope this helps.

Try looking at Group USA, or Khols, if they don't have any thing good, look at Walmart or someplace like that

have u tried ebay,they have lovely gowns sometimes for twenty bucks,or you could rent one.
