The alphabet comes to mind! How it effects society is obvious...the written word is one the most powerful weapons a human being has.

I guess they must have been the forerunners to technicians but seeing as it was so long ago that Alexander Bell invented the telephone they originally called them phonenicians.

Unless of course you are talking about phoenicians and then that would be a totally different answer. Do your own homework and get to the library you lazy toe rag!

I think Their most important contribution was their revised alphabet, which they spread around the known world. When further refined and spread by the Greeks and Romans, it became the alphabet used today by most western cultures.
