Well, you could... but I am thinking then you would be raising a child who has no diversity.. Let them judge for themselves what is good or bad.. and believe it or not both sides have good points and bad..

Since when don't liberal Democrats believe in the constitution and the principles this nation was founded on? We aren't the ones invading people's privacy by illegal wiretaps. We aren't the ones bypassing congress with "signing statements". We aren't the ones holding so many people in prison and denying them a fair and speedy trial with an impartial jury. That would be the neo-con Republicans.
That being said, will you also keep your kids away from those horrble non-white skinned people? How about those evil non-Bible Thumping Fundamentalist people? What about somebody who thinks Celine Dion is great, while you think Barbra Streisand is better?
Sure, raise your kids in a totally closed off vacuum, make sure they never think for themselves or learn that there are other viewpoints that can be held.
Then you can pack them off to the next Neo-Con war which they won't question even if it is a moral EVIL, and hey, then you can welcome them home in a box, a victim of friendly fire just like Pat Tillman. You can be proud, because you're a Gold Star parent now.

I do not feel it would be wrong for parents to keep their children away from Democratic Liberals because those people will try to brainwash your kids against religion, against morality, against Republicans, against consevative political issues and anything else they can. I know because I've seen it many times. I agree with you that if Liberals are put into a position where they have influence over young people they will take advantage and try to poison their minds against all we hold dear and sacred in this country. You can be sure that if a young person is disagreeing with me,right now they have already been brainwashed.

I'm a liberal, and I'm patriotic and believe in the values and the constitution. Also, doesn't the constitution give the right to equality for all citizens (Section 1 of the Fourteenth Amendment), not just straight people? Also, the first Amendment was written to protect the freedom of expression for those with unpopular opinions (like those who burn the flag, not that I'm saying that I agree, but they have the right to express their opinions, too). That's what makes out nation different. We have the right to express our opinions, even if it's against the state. Sometimes, conservatives are more loyal, but many liberals help people to truly understand and exercise all their constitutional rights.
So, I think you should expose you children to both, so that they can be exposed to different view points, and so they can maintain an open mind set (which I would have to say that liberals are occasionally better at).

A communist is somebody who believes in a society defined with the help of employing Karl Marx and Friederick Engels in "The Communist Manifesto". What it does not propose is what American propaganda has led many to have self theory, i.e. an 'enemy' or somebody that needs to 'take over the loose worldwide'. there is no longer something indoors the manifesto approximately springing up a police state; Marx's "dictatorship of the proletariat" skill no longer something of the variety. in distinctive words, Soviet style repression does not come from Communism. To summarize the Communist Manifesto, there is finished collective possession of the technique of production. judgements are made with the help of way of workers' councils. The 'dictatorship of the proletariat' is the way a nineteenth century truth seeker or social scientist ought to describe rule with the help of employing the proletariat (working form).

YES! it is absolutly wrong to isolate your child from one particular political idea. Just because it does not reflect your personal views does not mean that you need to keep them away. Liberals are People too. (and to any Liberals thinking about isolating their kids from Conservatives, same advice. They're People too)
there are different views as to what values the US was founded on. the one we can all agree on was political freedom. If you deny your child that, you are keeping your child close to somebody who does not believe in America: Yourself.
That goes to both conservatives and Liberals. Isolation and fear of the other only increases the problems of our country. We must stand United, or Divided we fall.
Don't Isolate your Kids from people who disagree with your political views. It's against the very ideal of America.

Yes, it is wrong. Shielding the kids would cause them to miss one of life's most interesting forms of entertainment.
The children should be exposed to misguided and uninformed liberals so that they understand (and can see first-hand) the consequences of being arrogant, misinformed, misguided, and naive (among other things).

Is keeping a child away from another based on a political belief a value of yours? What constitution are you refering to? You sound like one of those fundimentists who want to control people. Maybe you should go live in afganistan where there values are a little more similar to yours.

...As opposed to letting kids hang with nice conservatives that would turn this country into a mad theocracy? Perhaps the Bush crowd who seem to be doing their level best to subvert and circumvent the constitution? Sorry, but most Liberal Democrats know one helluva lot more, and are far more concerned about the sanctity of the US constitution than a bunch of posturing conservative hypocrites that hide behind the flag every time they try to limit yet more of our freedoms.
No, I'm not a Dem, I'm a Libertarian.

As a liberal democrat, I'm curious which values and what aspects of the Constitution you feel I don't believe in.
I am in full support of freedom of speech, freedom of religion, life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness, for example. I quite fond of the notion of the government having limited involvement in my day-to-day private life. My general philosophies are: "Live and let live," as well as "Do unto others that which you would have them do unto you."
So my advice to you, as a parent, is to *not* teach your child to dislike or be fearful of entire groups of people, but rather to get to know people on an individual level and make judgments about people on a case-by-case basis.
