Sounds like water to me, there is no filter in the tank, but you should have one. Go to any hardware store, heating supply store, or check with you local furnace repairman and either purchase one or have one installed, believe me for what a filter costs compaired to having furnace problems it's well worth the cost. Most in-line filters, once installed has a replaceable cartridge and are cheap. Change the filter once a year and you're golden. Approx. cost of a filter system is around 25-30 bucks depending on where you live, and then the replacement filters that you would change once a year are around 3-5 bucks. So for 3-5 bucks a year you won't have to worry about sediment, or water. Hope this helps a little. Good luck!!!

It sounds to me like the barometric damper is in simple terms swinging back into place. pass to the furnace room and watch the furnace pass via a cycle. this is advisable to expedite this via having somebody turn the thermostat up for a couple of minutes after which backtrack back. you may see a 'tee' form of installation on the vent pipe coming off of the furnace. This installation is spoke of as a barometric damper. (For this verbal replace, that is irrelevant as to its function in existence). The damper has a around plate in it that swings on a pair of pivot factors. while the furnace is working, the damper plate swings right into a definite place to permit extra air into the vent pipe. as quickly as the furnace shuts off, the damper swings back into the 'close' place, now and back with sufficient stress to make slightly bit a bang. verify to work out that it is the noise which you're listening to, whether this is - then that is not a real undertaking aside from the noise nuisance. A furnace track-up might confirm this undertaking thoroughly.
