Check the balance setting, if that's OK, AND you're under warranty, call the manufacturer.
If not, live with it?
I am capable of replacing my own speakers in a laptop, 99% of users are not.
And it gets expensive.
Depending on the brand/model, it can be $100-200 to replace a speaker.

Doubleclick the speaker / audio icon on the takbar. Ensure that the slider is at the centre under "balance" for wave, CD Player and others.
If this doesnot work, the speaker on the laptop may be defective.

appears like the phone jack on your pc is defective. Connectivity to at least one channel is lost. this is unlikely that your headphones are damaged. The signal element popping out of a headphone jack is only too low to damage your headphones. wager that in case you plug pc audio gadget into your pc jack, you'll discover that one speaker doesn't produce sound.

Right-click on the speaker icon in the bottom right corner of the screen. Choose "speaker settings". Make sure the balance and fade controls are even.

Try rebooting your computer. Might be a clitch in the system that's preventing the one speaker to communicate with the rest of the computer.

If you know nothing about computers do not open it. It could just be faulty wiring but take it to a pc shop or go to pc forums on the web.
