I have a project that includes me having to use wire, but I have no idea how to cut it. It's probably no more than a millimeter thick, but its so hard to cut! What do you use to cut it?

A pair of tin snips or wire cutters should do the trick. Local hardware stores and walmarts carry them. Good Luck

Wire is usually cut with either "linesman's pliers" or "diagonal cutter"; HOWEVER, with a wire that small, unless it is very tough, (such as "nichrome" heating element wire or stainless steel), you should be able to use "fingernail clippers".

You could go to "radio shack" or similar and get a pair of "mini-dikes", (small diagonal cutter), if you have many cuts to make. For just one or two cuts you should even be able to use a pocket knife.

NOTE: I have used ALL of the above at one time or another!!

go the the hardware store and buy a set of diagonal cutters about 6 or 8 inches long. They do a fine job!

If it doesnt have to look perfect - you can hold it tight where you
want to break it with a pair of pliers and just take the other part
and keep bending it back and forth until it breaks.

If you have some old nail clippers, or Scissor's that would work. If it does not have to be exact. You can wiggle in back and forth between your had and it will break. Careful though it gets warm
