No effects. There isn't even any real evidence that it has much effect on babies even when the mother smokes it while pregnant.

Don't believe the people above who link to "marijuanaaddiction" sites. There is far better information at http://druglibrary.org/schaffer There are hundreds of references on the health effects there, including the largest studies of the subject ever done. It all says the same basic thing -- marijuana is not a serious threat to anyone's health.

There are no real information or study that could surely tutor any injury on babies, however the greater person-friendly experience of that's that that's undesirable. For the elementary actuality that smoke inhalation blocks the mandatory oxygen that your infant desires, additionally it has an impression on adults why might you prefer to subject a transforming into and below-progression fetus/infant to it. that is incorrect on a brilliant number of stages. there are a brilliant number of issues that should pass incorrect throughout a common being pregnant. Why anybody might prefer to take the possibility of doing some thing that should break their infant, is previous me. the reality that she ought to not end smoking on the same time as she is pregnant and make a healthful selection for her infant shows that she is egocentric. Being a mom ability you place your infant first and your unecessary desires and needs final. additionally smoking interferes with a lot of reactions and ability to think of, to do it round her youngster on the same time as she is think to be looking after her youngster is likewise irresponsible. something ought to happen to her newborn and if any government knew she became into extreme on the same time as her youngster became into in her possession, she does not basically have her youngster taken away, yet she ought to pass to reformatory. Plus have her unborn newborn taken away while the infant is born. i don't have a concern with human beings smoking it. purely the aggregate with youngsters and marijuana does not combination in my view. i understand that that's person-friendly in some subculture to try this, i.e Jamaicans, yet somebody could do some real study in this so as that human beings can understand the reality, beside the the common-sense element that maximum human beings could have. there is often a "What If" element once you do issues like this. What if some thing did happen on your infant, you will consistently ask your self? What if it had some thing to do with what I did? might you surely need to stay with the reality of understanding which you are going to have harmed your infant, somewhat in case you will have prevented it?

It won't effect the child at all. The father doesn't contribute much but DNA to the developing fetus, and marijuana doesn't do anything at all to DNA. The fetus won't be exposed to marijuana through the sperm (or semen, or anything else along those lines). But even if it were, it wouldn't do any harm.

It doesn't even do any harm to the fetus if the mother smokes a lot of marijuana regularly during pregnancy. A study of women who smoked something like six joints a day found that the only difference between the children of women who smoked during pregnancy compaired to those who did not was that the children of smokers actually scored higher on tests of cognitive function for the first month or two. Marijuana absolutely does not harm an unborn child.

I was not sure myslef, but had heard that there were some negative aspects to this, so I did a little research. From that I concluded that marijuana use lowers the chance of conception and may also cause damage to the sperm which in turn may cause damage to the fetus. Here is some of what I found...Marijuana use can decrease and degenerate sperm, sperm count, movement, and cause lowered sex drive. Can destroy the number of chromosomes, resulting in cell abnormalities and impaired function. (http://www.marijuanaaddiction.info/harmful-effects-of-marijuana.htm) A man that uses marijuana on a long-term basis is going to experience lower sperm counts, lower sperm motility, and abnormally developed sperm as a result of his drug usage.(http://uistudenthealth.com/question/default.asp?asgid=4&agid=1&id=529) we certainly have evidence that the chromosomes are no longer normal, that there is a higher frequency of clumping of chromosomes so that when the cell divides, two equal cells are not produced. We know that in some condition in humans and in animals this is associated with severe defects, such as mongolism, in which an extra chromosome is present. I’m not saying that mongolism is related to marijuana use, but it is certainly known that if the chromosomes are not splitting properly, you get severe consequences.
