She has a line in the play where she says: "Had he not resembled my father as he slept, I had done't."
Now, that's just her justification, mind you. She's all by herself on the stage when she says it. It's one of those "who are you trying to convince?" moments. Personally, I don't think she ever had the stomach for it, and now that her husband has actually off doing the killing, she is probably starting to realize for the first time what a HORRIBLE sequence of events they've set in motion.
