Although it was touted to get a concensus through bi-partisan means I can't help but criticize it's flaws and failures. Their conclusions are nothing more than a bunch of regurgitated Democratic proposals. The persons in the group "ALL" --had pro-war stances prior to the occupation. They "ALL" have had Washington insider jobs. I think this group's net worth will be nothing more than getting the new Sec. of Def confirmed and his feet wet in the quagmire--considering they/he never left the green zone. Still more baffling is the lack of "real" experts. Their study will have as little impact as the guy in Chicago that emulsified himself on a street corner in protest of the war. When will the day come when Bush calls the press conference and admits his wrongs. How can any human being be raised without a conscience to the level this man was? Any normal individual would be overcome by the guilt to the point of confession just to keep from committing suicide. What are your thoughts?

Well a group of people, none of which had any experience or knowledge of war, who didn't go anywhere except the green zone in Iraq, have come up with a graceful way to kiss our enemies ***.

Bush did say today that the war strategy must change. I am for the war, however, it does need new strategy, and hopefully this group will be the cause for change, even just a start.

They did express a withdrawal by 2008, which is the closest so far of any politician setting a deadline. Hopefully, more will come out of this through actions than just hype and talk.

Speaking as the mother of a soldier who's been to Iraq twice, I wish it would be over soon. We're now in the middle of a civil war in that country, and before long, I'm afraid, BOTH sides will be shooting at our troops.

I suppose this is to be filed under the heading of "ill-considered, ill-conceived, ill-constructed, and ill-received."

Here's my thoughts. If that Study Group thinks we can
go over there and talk those maniac enemies into talking
peace.......then let's just send this Study Group to carry
out this mission. We've never fought anyone before that's
purpose is to rid the world of Israel and the United States.
This would certainly be a very very difficult achievement.
Their talk is cheap, but they want G. Bush to carry it out,
not themselves.
