It will get mid-late afternoon sun. Most plants should do well excepting those that require full sun.

Because the sun rises in the east and moves in a clockwise direction. It sets in the west, therefore south is in the middle, which means a south facing garden is the sunniest. In the morning you would get the sun coming from the left (east), midday directly (south), and evening from the right (west). My garden faces south east so I get the sun all day until about 5 oclock then it moves round to the front. I would never buy a house with a north facing back garden. The first thing I would ask would be which way does the garden face.

No, but if you are growing plants that require only partial sun it will be okay. Just don't plan on growing plants that require full sun. They will grow, but they won't be as productive. A south west facing garden is usually best unless you live in the southern hemisphere.

It will get a blast of hot afternoon sun, so you have to know which plants can tolerate this. Are there trees or shrubs nearby, not only in your garden but also in your neighbour's? The best is to watch your new garden next season and use plants according to your findings.

A lot depends.......are there any trees.........or buildings........to prohibit the sun from reaching your garden?..........The sun rises in the EAST and sets in the West..........Most plants NEED the MORNING SUN (EAST)..........some need all both morning and afternoon.........
