I'm 32 weeks pregnant and I have been getting this horrible pain on what feels like my pubic bone and also what feels like maybe my cervix (it's up in there). It gets so bad that I can hardly walk. Sitting sometimes makes it worse. I have a dr's appt in the morning so I'm not going to call. It's been getting worse and worse the past couple of days and I don't know what to do about it or what is causing it. I'm thinking maybe the baby's head but I'm not sure. Anyone else experiance this? What helped? Thanks. Please no rude answers

This is my second baby and the pain isn't what it was with my first as far as contractions are concerned. It's a constant pain as well. It sometimes gets worse or feels better at time but doesn't go away completely. I feel like the babys head is stuck in the birth canal or something though. I'm just so incredibly sore I can hardly stand it. Thanks for all your answers so far.

It's probably your pubis symphysis ( the little pad of cartilage that joins your pubic arch together) stretching out. Does it feel kind of like a constant burning, stretching & sore sensation, and is way worse when you lift a leg (like when putting on pants, or going up stairs)? You have 20 lbs sitting on top of your pelvic arch, so it's not surprising that it hurts. If the pain is rythmic, and gets progressively faster and worse, don't wait for that appointment though, just go in.

Well my best advice would be to take it easy, get lots of rest, put your feet up, and drink lots of water to stay hydrated. I'm not sure if I had what you had, I'm 7 months pregnant now, and that was the advice that was given to me when I was having some pain and it seemed to help a little bit. However, seeing as we are in the last stretch of our pregnancy, our bodies are adjusting and stretching to prepare for birth. But if the pain doesn't go away or it starts to feel like contractions I would reccomend calling your doctor or going to the ER.

I'm almost 33 weeks and I get these too, it's false labor pains. Your Dr might refer to them as Braxton Hicks contractions (spelling?)
If this is your 1st baby then you might not know really what to expect with contractions but it is similar.

It sounds like you might be having false labor pains. I had them for the last 2 months of my pregnancy, but mine where in my back and sure enough that is where my real labor was the most pain full too. I wouldn't worry to much you are almost there. Good luck!

Is it pain or pressure? Sometimes pressure can be so intense it's mistaken for pain. It is most likely the baby getting lower and getting in position for birth. Just talk to your Dr. about it.

well let me see when i had pains like that my baby was born less than a week later. that just mean that the baby is droping into the birthcanal and preparing to be born. it doesnt mean that your going to have your baby in a week but, your going to have your little one soon. the way to make the pain not so bad is to drink warm tea or hot chocolate or dah something warm and well it helps sooth the pain and it wont make it stop but help it not be so hard and bad

nah its not false labor its your pelvic bone stretching and your hips get wider all those bones get looser as you get further and further along. My pains are just like that and surprise surprise Iam 32 weeks pregnant too. It got so bad that my doctor prescribed some tylenol 3 for me. Not alot helps my doctor told me to try walking backwards not very helpfull I know.
