it all depends on how you have healed. first off has your bleeding from the birth stopped? has your cervix closed? if not then you are open to a risk of infection. and you should not do this again untill you see a doctor. doctors like to be extra careful so they say 6-8 weeks. this is a bit much for women that heal quick. most midwives say four weeks. some womem are ready and comfortable at 3. less than two weeks is risky. keep a watch out for pain, a fever, extra bleeding, discharge or any of those things. if that happens see a doc right away and tell them what you did.

Aside from getting a vaginal infection due to any bacteria getting in there, nothing can really happen. You CAN get pregnant that soon afterwards but you'd have to be ovulating, probably not 9 days after giving birth though. Be clean and careful, maybe use condoms for a bit. Have fun!!

All correct answers. Traditional sex should be a no-no for a couple of months. Suggest post operative dose of antibiotics following birth and sex only after antibiotic regimen is complete.
Those infections can be dangerous and painful.

My husband couldn't wait to have sex after my son was born. We ended up having sex 2 weeks afterwards and I got a horrible infection around my stitches. Since the womb is still open you're also putting yourself at risk for pelvic inflammatory disease, which can render you sterile.

There is a six week waiting period after giving birth to ensure proper healing. If you have bleeding or pain, go see your doctor. Take it easy, six weeks isn't all that bad. I did too much after giving birth, and it took a lot longer for me to heal because of it. Good luck!

You can get an infection and die. Why would you have sex 9 days after giving birth? That's nasty plus you can get pregnant again!

Depends. You can get pregnant. I had sex 10 days after but had no stiches or tearing. I was fine. It just depends on the person.

Yes, you are very fertile right after giving birth. Nursing your baby, unlike what many people believe, doesn't protect you against pregnancy.
If you don't want back-to-back babies, use some form of contraception.

you can give yourself and infection and all kinds of things! your cervix isn't closed all the way and can lead to some very serious infections. they tell you not to have sex because your body is not healed. it has nothing to do with how you feel.
