The best way to get the answers to your questions are to ask him what he means by "dominating" and get him to give you specifics. It can be anywhere along being simple as having a more take charge/ assertive attitude, to a full on mistress/slave role, outfits, punishment, etc. Only way to know what he really wants is to ask.
You should also remember your own personality and comfort level. If you are willing to try, then that's great, but you should also let him know it's just that... if there is something you don't mind doing or actually like, then that's good. But you shoud also set the ground rules that if you try something he wants and if it's something you aren't comfortable with, then some limits need to be set. Your own likes and dislikes have to be respected just as equally.

Call him bad names. Tell him he has been bad and smack him. See how far he want you to take it put a gag in his mouth, scratch, bite, some guys even like to have their balls stepped on with high heels. The trick is to tell him not ask and see how he responds tell him to get on all fours and bark like a dog. It is called Sadism and Massacism and some people are into that it has to deal with pain and humiliation. I myself do not like it at all sex should be nice no pain or name calling involved
