Have you ever noticed whenever they show garbage cans in movies and on television, they always show the silver cans, with the tops that get bent up, and on't stay on the can very well?

I don't know about you, but I live in California, and we haven't used that type of can for at least 10 or 15 years. We use the plasticy type can, with the top that has a hinge?

Why don't they ever use the updated cans? Most movies and TV are filmed in California, so the State isn't an excuse?

Does anyone, anywhere in the world, mainly the USA, still use the old fashioned garbage cans, the silver ones, described above?

This really bugs me, I don't know why.

Most studios use psychologists who will do research on what will attract viewers like name recognition or locations even what people consider funny. The use of the metal cans is humorous when banged on the ground or when someone fell on top of one.

Simple. How much noise does a Rubbermaid trash can make when it gets smacked by a speeding car?
