I know what UFO stands for but my question asks what are they?

A UFO or Unidentified Flying Object is any real or apparent flying object which cannot be identified by the observer and which remains unidentified after investigation.
Sightings of unusual aerial phenomena date back to ancient times, but reports of UFO sightings started becoming more common after the first widely publicized U.S. sighting in 1947. Many tens of thousands of such claimed observations have since been reported worldwide, and it is very likely many more go unreported due to fear of public ridicule because of the Social stigma created around the UFO topic.
In popular culture throughout the world, UFO is commonly used to refer to any hypothetical alien spacecraft but the term flying saucer is also regularly used. Once a UFO is identified as a known object (for example an aircraft or weather balloon), it ceases to be a UFO and becomes an identified object. In such cases it is inaccurate to continue to use the acronym UFO to describe the object.

UFO unidentified flying object, so I imagine not an alien or maybe who really knows but when it comes to the government it has been recorded that they have denied the existence even when others have vehemently acclaimed that they have seen at least the UFOs so I don't know the answer myself for sure !

UFOs are Unidetified Flying Objects, anything that flies and is unidetified. I think aliens are from the government and they are trying to cover up for some top secret plan by saying that the things we see in the sky that arent weather balloons, planes, or whatever, are alien space craft. There might be aliens from other planets though.
BTY an "alien" refers ,really, to anyone who is from far away.

Well this government calls them Unidentified Flying Objects, I have never seen one, and frankly, I don't ever want to see one.
Are they authentic? Who knows for sure, truthfully speaking, the only UFO I'm going to encounter, is the one I see.
We have enough to combat. We don't need any Paul Revere's "The Aliens are coming, cries"

unidentified flying objects. a ufo can be anything that is flying and that is unidentified. most times the ufo can be explained logically. but then some are very mysterious too. what are they I don't know and no one on this site does know either. your best bet is to read everyones opinions and decide for yourself which theory you believe in the most. its kinda like choosing a religion isn't it
