We should have one that could do it now surely?

I mean with all the conspiracy theories saying the Moon landings were a hoax.

To resolve details on the order of ten feet on the moon would take a telescope with a 70 meter mirror. It would also take some highly sophisticated adaptive optics technology to eliminate the effects of atmospheric turbulence. So no, we're nowhere near having that. It is more likely that the next generation of lunar orbiters will have sufficient resolution to image the landers.

Of course, the true conspiracy believers will claim that any picture you show them is just another fake. The only solution is to take up a collection and buy all these fools one-way tickets to the moon so they can see for themselves.

why? all that's there is a lunar rover, some flags and maybe a few pieces of equipment. What do you want to look at? It is 256,000 miles away

yea, thousands and thousands of NASA scientists and technicians and the US government have been keeping, what, 6 different moon landings, all of which millions and millions watched on TV, including myself, a secret as to a massive hoax for over 30 years. Those conspirators would include then decorated military pilots, the best of the best, many of whom served their country in battle. Have you ever seen an interview with James Lovell? Do you think he's a fraud? Stop believing every crackpot theory you come upon and do some logical and critical thinking

You're trying to see something maybe 15 feet across at a quarter of a million miles away. That would require a very good scope. We can see things indirectly though. There are mirrors there that we bounce lasers off and see the return on a regular basis.

As far as the conspiracy goes, why would we spend 14 years, 26 billion doallars, three dead astronauts and fool over 200 thousand people who worked on it just to make a few movies. That's stretching it a bit.
