f. Which 5? If first 5-- 20.6 If second 5-2.596
g. 11.3
h. 7.91
i. 4
j. Which 7? If the first 7, the answer is 8. If second 7, 7.548.

This is really easy, and you seem to be having trouble, so I will explain it. Say the number is 7.9093, and the boldfaced digit is zero. If the number that follows the zero is 5 or greater, than you round the 0 up to a 1, and you don't write any numbers after it. If the number that follows the zero is 4 or less, than you leave the zero as a zero, leaving you with 7.90, simplified as 7.9, because the zero doesn't mean anything when it is at the end of a decimal.
Hope that this helped!

f. 20.6

g. 11.3

h. 7.910

i. 4

j. 8

I hope this helps. The way I got these answers is by taking the number after the boldfaced number; and if it is 5 or above you round the boldfaced number up. But if the number after the boldfaced number is below 5 then you leave the boldfaced number as it is! Good luck with whatever you are doing!

according to the law of decimals, and number behind the decimal point ( ex: : 20.5...) 5 and above, you are to treat it like a (0) and increase the number in front of the decimal point (ex:: o, becomes (1). Therefore the answer should be
20.5956= 21.0. Also, it depends on what the book ask you to round the number to. Hundreds, thousands, hundred/thousands etc. # 2. Stays the same as it is 11.323. I think that you can finish the rest.

I've got a rhyme for that I learned in the third grade:
(something that said to look to the right of the bold-faced digit)
5 or more: raise the score.
4 or less: let it rest.

In other words, if it's five or more next door, bring the number up one digit and replace the digits behind the bold-faced with zeros. I left the zeros out in this decimal stuff because...
You can add 0s on 'till the purple cows come home
Wearin' purple dresses singin' Elvis Pressly songs. *yeah uh huh yeah yeah uh huh* (Another third grade rhyme)

4 or less, replace it with a zero.

commence all a thanks to the right and be sure if the vast form is more beneficial or decrease than 5. on your party you want to commence with the vast form a million, it really is all a thanks to the right of the decimal position. you'll paintings to the left. So attempt this, the a million is decrease than the vast form 7 so it received't replace the 7. To the left of the 7 is a 6. The 7 is more beneficial than 5, so the 6 will "round up" to 7. Your answer is 40 seven.57 remember that if an excellent decision is 5 or more beneficial you round up. attempt the subsequent one you're able to have an answer of 0.05

When you round a number up or down, you choose a midpoint...everything below the midpoint rounds down, and everything above it rounds up.

We'll use 5 as the midpoint.

So, a number like 20.5956 that you're rounding to the first 5 should look like this: if it was 20.54xx, you'd round it down. Since it's over the midpoint (20.59xx) you round it up.

That means 20.59xx should be rounded up to 20.60 (or just 20.6).

Just remember to look at the number to the right of the bold one, and see if it's above or below the midpoint.

Good luck!
