Arizona:

The Meteor Crater, sometimes known as the Barringer Crater and formerly as the Canyon Diablo crater, is an impact crater, located about 35 miles (55 km) east of Flagstaff, near Winslow in the northern Arizona desert (USA). Its elevation is 1744 m (5,723 ft). The crater is somewhat misnamed, as it was actually excavated by a meteorite, not a meteor.

The crater is about 1,200 m (4,000 ft) in diameter, and some 170 m deep (570 ft). It is surrounded by a 45 m (150 ft) high rim of rock, raised above the surrounding plains by the force of the impact. The bottom of the crater is filled with rubble from the impact, to a depth of 210-240 m (700-800 ft) below the crater's center.

Bigger crater:

There are TWO huge craters involved with that impact 65.5 million years ago. Generally, the one in India is not mentioned:

Recently, they also found a really huge impact crater on the Northpole.

It fell in the state of total confusion, it was lost. It wanted to go to San Francisco. The crater didnt fall, an asteroid did. Now in response to the mis nomer statement.... Where was the man when he jumped off of the bridge....on the bridge no that was before he jumped. In the air....No that was after he jumped.
A meteor is a meteor until it hits then it is a meteorite. So what made the crater...a meteor...no it hadn't hit yet. A meteorite? No the crater was already made when the meteor became a meteorite.

I suppose you mean asteroid and not crater. Craters are just depressions formed on the earth (or moon or other heavenly bodies) when asteroids strike them. Arizona is supposed to have a crater created by an asteroid.

Hah! It's a trick question! When the crater was formed, that area wasn't a state!

A falling crater? I'd pay to see that, too.
