You are experiencing "televisional levitation" as we refer to it in the supernatural investigation field. This is caused by phantasmic force fields, probably by a ghost of someone whose series was cancelled. If you do not say this spell which consists of the words, "Nielsen Upratum!", then the TV may be smashed against the wall. I had the exact same problem two months ago. There's an alien in your garbage disposal. You're gonna need to get that checked. Otherwise in 8 days he'll start putting mustard in your shampoo bottle. Which believe me will not be pleasant.
