Cut out your star shapes, spray with glue (get at most craft stores) and dust with glitter. We did this for snowflakes for my daughters wedding and hung them from the ceiling...they were beautiful.

If you want it to look more realistic, paint or tape little white dots with rough edges all over the top 2/3 of the black curtain in a random pattern. Glue or tape a few small rhinestones in amongst the flat white dots for a good shimmer.
If you're going for more of a Christmas-pageant-look, get some glitter paper or shiny foil-covered paper at the crafts store and cut out stars of varying sizes. Cookie cutters make great patterns. I'm sure someone in your play's crew or cast will have star-shaped cookie cutters. Start now so it'll have time to dry.

The human physique is largely the form of a huge call. Use that. Her head may well be one edge. each and each arm and leg is one edge. somewhat than some thing complicated sided, i might use some thing slightly drapey for her convenience (and those round her). start up with white sweats. dazzling interior the midsection, connect drapey fabric going 6 procedures - connect with each and each wrist and leg with a stretchy "bracelet" for elementary on and rancid. Run 5th & 6th up the two edge of the pinnacle. you're able to do a twine "rod" up the back of the neck to hold them up, or a hat of a few variety (i might cause them to fulfill above the pinnacle so her face is "in" the 5th branch of the super call. possibly placed a gold sparkley massive call over the place all the textile meets on the chest/tummy. She has room to pass, yet while she stretches out her palms and strikes her legs aside she's a huge call.

Cut out cardboard stars, coat with glue, perhaps spray glue/adhesive, then sprinkle with glitter. You could make stars and cover them with aluminum foil and add glitter also. Have fun!!!
Edit: attach to curtain with double-sided tape

How about a disco ball concealed in a place where it could not be seen by the audience but would reflect upward onto the curtain.
